Operation EDITH promotes fire safety

A local insurance company is hoping that a little coloring can save some lives in Iredell County.

Walker Insurance recently dropped off around 3,500 coloring books at the Iredell County Fire Marshall’s office for distribution in the county’s elementary schools. The books help to teach concepts that may be hard for children to understand about fire safety, showing what it means to have a second exit in each room and how to avoid smoke.
