The Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education shied away from joining an effort to increase school boards’ lobbying power in Raleigh at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting.

The North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) is forming a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization this year in response to what it views as attacks from the legislature on public education.
