Taylor Mattox calls it how she sees it, and that’s not just a figure of speech for this tennis official. Accuracy under pressure is taking her places.

A 2005 North Iredell graduate, Mattox is at the United States Tennis Association Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., this week. She was selected in May to be a line judge for the U.S. Open qualifier and could earn the right to officiate when the main draw gets under way next week.
