A Gastonia man has been charged with passing bad checks at a Lincoln County convenience store.
Anthony Craig Faile, 56, of Gastonia is accused of writing the checks on a closed checking account between Sept. 23 and Oct. 4. The six checks totaled $1,320 and were written to Jerry’s One Stop on N.C. 27 East.
Faile was charged with six felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. He was arrested by Gaston County Police Monday and turned over to Lincoln County deputies.
Faile was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
