Last Friday, the Statesville Police Department and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office executed a prostitution sting.

After receiving complaints from community members, the first of what a release describes as “many joint operations involving both agencies to reduce crime in the Statesville community” resulted in four arrests.

The following were arrested in the operation:

Rashonda Denise McCathery was charged with solicitation of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $3,000 secured bond

Shana Nicole Harmon was charged with solicitation of prostitution, felony possession of cocaine and simple possession of marijuana. She received a $5,000 secured bond.

Tammie Turner Burchfield was charged with solicitation of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $1,500 secured bond.

Michael Lamar Morrison was charged with solicitation of prostitution. He received a $1,000 secured bond.

“We look forward to conducting more joint operations with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office to improve the quality of life for the residents of Statesville,” the Statesville Police Department release states.
