A Statesville man has been arrested on multiple charges from outstanding warrants in Rowan and Cabarrus counties.
Joseph Scott Fielding, 30, of Fox Run Drive, was arrested on Tuesday in northern Iredell County. Fielding has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony probation violation, four counts of domestic violence protection order violation, felony possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, assault by pointing a gun and failure to heed light or siren.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office was contacted Tuesday by officials from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office seeking help locating Fielding, Sheriff Darren Campbell stated.
Deputies responded to Fielding’s last known address off Fox Run Drive and made contact with family members, Campbell stated in a release. Family members said that Fielding had left the residence early in the morning in a white passenger car. A short time later, deputies found the car about a half-mile off Wilkesboro Highway on Snow Creek Road, Campbell stated.
Additional deputies joined the search and a canine unit and drone were added to the search effort. After an extensive search, Fielding was found hiding in a field and was arrested without incident, Campbell stated.
Fielding was issued a $47,500 bond by a magistrate for the narcotics and weapons charges, but was ordered held without bond on the domestic-related charges.
Fielding has been verified by the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a verified member of the Aryan Brotherhood.
Fielding has a criminal history that includes two counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor breaking or entering, misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, hit and run failure to stop, felony breaking or entering, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession a spring-loaded knife, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
