Three people were arrested after deputies discovered more than 70 grams of meth and other illegal drugs in a traffic stop, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office stated.
Jerry Lee Lippard III, 38, of Desiree Drive was charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine by possession, trafficking methamphetamine by transport, conspire to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, and maintaining vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance. He was charged with misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.
Lippard received a $250,000 secured bond from a magistrate.
Breanna Frances Oliver, 33, of Regatta Lane, Mooresville, was charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine by possession, trafficking methamphetamine by transport, conspire to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance. She was also served an outstanding warrant interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
Oliver received a $255,000 secured bond.
Michael Joseph Gamboa, 34, of Charlotte, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $5,000 secured bond.
The release added Gamboa is on probation on charges of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and has numerous convictions for misdemeanor drug and traffic offenses.
On Sunday, deputies with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 77 at mile marker 49, the news release stated.
Sheriff Darren Campbell said the deputies saw three people in the vehicle when they approached. The driver, identified in the release as Lippard, was asked to exit the car and deputies searched him for weapons, the release said.
Campbell said Lippard was found in possession of marijuana and Buprenorphine. Deputies also searched the vehicle and uncovered more than 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia, Campbell added.
Passengers Oliver and Gamboa were also searched, the release stated.
Campbell said Oliver had more than 40 grams of methamphetamine and several Buprenorphine pills and strips on her person. Gamboa was in possession of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia, authorities reported.
Deputies learned through criminal record checks that Oliver had an outstanding warrant for removing her GPS ankle monitoring device she was required to wear as part of her probation, the release stated.
