Two people, indicted by a Lincoln County grand jury in late July, have been arrested on separate drug charges.
Nathan Kenneth Black, 24, Lincolnton, and Tevan Montez Ikard, 26, of Hudson, were indicted on July 29 on separate drug charges.
A true bill of indictment for two counts of selling methamphetamine to an undercover officer was returned against Black.. He was arrested Aug. 5 and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center in lieu of a $30,000 secured bond.
Ikard was indicted for selling cocaine to an undercover officer. He was also indicted on two counts of trafficking in cocaine by selling more than 26 grams of cocaine in an undercover purchase. Ikard was also arrested Aug. 5 and jailed in lieu of a $115,000 secured bond.
The Lincoln County Grand Jury issued true bills of indictment involving illegal drugs on a total of 19 people, a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office stated. The charges stem from traffic stops, probation searches of homes, consent to search residences and other undercover operations.
