Two people face multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on Salisbury Highway earlier this week.

Michael Philip Combs, 29, of Brenda Lane, Statesville was charged with felony trafficking heroin by transport, felony trafficking heroin by possession, felony possession with the intent to sell or deliver heroin. He received a $200,000 bond from a magistrate.

Christina Ann Dineen, 38, also of Brenda Lane,was charged with felony possession of heroin. She received a $7,500 bond from a magistrate.

Deputy B. Best with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team stopped a 2002 Ford for a registration violation, leading to the arrest.

Sheriff Darren Campbell described the arrest as unfolding this way:

The driver, Combs, consented to a search of the car. Deputies located 6.1 grams of black tar heroin, a large amount of small Ziploc baggies, digital scales with heroin residue, cash, and syringes containing heroin.

Combs and his passenger, Dineen, were then taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
