iAcademy is a public school within the Iredell-Statesville School District that blends homeschooling with traditional classroom learning. It is a unique approach to public education.
Flexibility is built into the fabric of the program. Parents choose which aspects will most benefit their student and partner with the teacher to create a customized learning plan. Subjects offered include reading, mathematics, science and Spanish with more to come. Parents are in control of their child's education while enjoying as much or as little support from experienced educators as desired. Currently, the iAcademy is housed on the campus at Northview School in Statesville.
The following is a sample schedule noting the times classroom learners may attend. This is subject to change to fit the needs of iAcademy families and growing enrollment.
Kindergarten to second-grade class: Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Third- to fifth-grade class: Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Mixed kindergarten to fifth-grade class: Monday through Wednesday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
