The Iredell-Statesville Schools is hosting parents and community members at an event that will outline various school-choice options in the county.

Gone are the days of simply attending a school based on your residential address. A rising kindergartener in Iredell County can choose between a traditional elementary program, a Spanish dual emersion program, an International Baccalaureate program, and so many more options within I-SS.

Students entering high school can explore a fine arts pathway, a career in fire safety, or an IB Diploma.

The Iredell-Statesville Schools has a school that is a fit for every child, so make sure you are informed and knowledgeable.

On Thursday, at 350 Old Murdock Road in Troutman the system will host an event from 5-7 p.m. to show all the options it offers.

All 37 of the I-SS campuses and programs will be represented with staff that can answer questions.

Options range from exploring advanced career and technical training, enrolling in online courses, attending one of three Early Colleges in ISS, or simply learning more about the best middle school fit for your child, representatives will be available in a drop-in format Thursday.
