They’re graduatesDalton Pierce of Mooresville has graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree during the fall 2019 commencement exercises from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia.

Four Iredell County students have graduated from Western Governors University’s online program. They are Buffie Speicher and Samantha Yarborough, both of Statesville, Allison Field of Troutman and Stacey Lewis of Stony Point. Speicher with a bachelor of arts degree in special education; Yarborough with a Master of Education degree in learning and technology; Field with a Master of Arts degree in secondary science education; and Lewis with a bachelor of science degree in business-healthcare management.

President’s list honorsKate Lynn Huffman and Jacob Nathaniel Schlesinger, both of Statesville, and Grace L. Cochrane and Dylan Carl Rings, both of Mooresville, were named to the president’s list (minimum 4.0 GPA) for the fall 2019 semester at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

On the dean’s listFive students from Mooresville were named to the dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA) for the fall 2019 semester at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. They are: Shelby Ross Bassinger, Olivia R. Jernigan, Elizabeth L. Kurtz, Salem E. Mayes and Simon Wilding.

Benjamin Matthew Hoag of Mooresville was named to the dean’s list (minimum 3.4 GPA) for the fall 2019 semester at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.

Six Iredell County students were named to the dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA) for the fall 2019 semester at Greensboro College. Students from Statesville are Addie Dorinda Haywood, Jordan DeShawn McCray and Chayana Ty-Quay McGee; and from Mooresville are Morgan Elizabeth Gilley, Isaac Darius Haddock and Zachary Brian Rainess.

Emilee Speer of Statesville was named to the dean’s list (minimum 3.4 GPA) for the fall 2019 semester at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee.

Kinnon Rockness and Courtney Rockness, both of Mooresville, were named to the dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA) for the 2019 fall semester at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
