PUMPKIN FEST

Fun-filled community event features entertainment, games and a classic car show.

WHEN: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Downtown Statesville

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Pumpkin bowling, chainsaw carving demonstration, adult and kids games, three entertainment stages and a classic car show highlight the event. No admission charge. No dogs or other animals, no bicycles, no skateboards. For more information, visit downtownstatesvillenc.org.

COMMUNITY DAY

The Iredell County Emergency Services will be hosting the outing.

WHEN: Saturday, gates open at 3 p.m., Rockie Lynne concert at 6 p.m., fireworks at 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Iredell County Agricultural Fairgrounds, 630 N. Main St., Troutman

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Cost is $10 donation. Children younger than 12 admitted free. Proceeds to Firefighter’s Burned Children’s Fund.

COMMUNITY LUNCH

Cool Spring Ruritan is partnering with Grill 4 God for the community lunch.

WHEN: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Cool Spring Ruritan Club, 1414 Old Mocksville Road, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

DOWNTOWN TRICK OR TREATING

The event was moved a day because of the weather, so the fun is still to come.

WHEN: Today, 4-6 p.m.

WHERE: Downtown Statesville – participating merchants will have a pumpkin with the downtown logo as its nose visible in its window.

HAUNTED STATESVILLE GHOST TOUR

One more night has been added of the ghostly walk through Statesville’s past.

WHEN: Sunday, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Statesville City Hall, 227 S. Center St.

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Tickets are $10 and reservations are required. Discover the haunted history of Statesville’s downtown, where tales of spirits, creatures, mysterious deaths and creepy alleys become real. For more information visit downtownstatesvillenc.org.
