Morbid obesity is an ever-growing health problem that causes difficulty performing daily functions, such as walking and breathing. Persons affected by morbid obesity have an increased risk for developing many serious health problems such as diabetes, stroke, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, and some cancers. Studies have shown that weight loss can help in reducing type-2 diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, and high cholesterol.
