The Statesville branch of the Iredell County Public Library is reopen after a week of getting the new youth area in order.

The books and tables are once again ready to offer adventure and education to the younger members of the community.

In December, the Iredell County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved spending more than $300,000 to address the contamination of a dry cleaning chemical on the lower level.

A solution that involved coating the inside of the basement floors and walls with a material that prevents vapors from passing through was used to seal the lower level.

The library reopened earlier this week.
