Polar Plunge

Take a cold dip in the Statesville Leisure Pool and support Special Olympics of Iredell County.

WHEN: Saturday, 1 p.m.

WHERE: Statesville Leisure Pool, 1877 Simonton Road.

WHAT’S THE DEAL? To participate, raise a minimum of $25 or $30 to receive a special Polar Plunge T-shirt. The event is rain or shine. Love Fest

A Valentine’s Day performance highlights the night.

WHEN: Today, 6:30 p.m. doors open, show at 8 p.m.

WHERE: Twisted Oak, 121 N. Center St.

WHAT’S THE DEAL? The band N-Spire is presenting the Valentine’s Day 2020 Love Fest. Tickets are $20 and are available at Food and drinks are sold separately. No refunds will be given.

Winter Ham Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast – for a good cause.

WHEN: Saturday, 7 to 10 a.m.

WHERE: Union Grove Community Building, 1869 W. Memorial Hwy., Union Grove

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Reasonable donations will be accepted. All proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the club’s projects.

Kisses for Kanines

Wagamuffins Dog Boutique is joining forces with Sniff N Rescue Candles and Yappy Hour Bakery for the inaugural Kisses for Kanines.

WHEN: Saturday, 1-5 p.m.

WHERE: Wagamuffins Dog Boutique, 152 N. Main St., Mooresville

WHAT’S THE DEAL? Take advantage of the kissing booth and make your own doggie Valentine’s Day gift basket with items for both the owner and canine. A portion of the sales and 100% of the kissing booth donations will be given to Lake Norman Humane.
