Mooresville police recently arrested a man suspected of selling cocaine in both Mecklenburg and Iredell counties, a town spokeswoman said.
Marcus Lamone Black, 40, was arrested Friday for felony possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and two counts of trafficking cocaine, Mooresville public information officer Kim Sellers stated in an email Monday. She added he was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Black is being held at the Iredell County Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 secured bond.
“(The) Mooresville Police Department, with the assistance of the Cornelius Police Department, conducted a joint investigation regarding Black selling cocaine in North Mecklenburg and South Iredell counties,” Sellers stated.
Black has a criminal history involving several felony convictions of selling a Schedule II controlled substance.
He is scheduled to appear in Iredell County District Court on Jan. 31.
