Two Mooresville residents were arrested after deputies discovered a substantial amount of prescription pills in their possession, a news release stated.
Deputies arrived in the 200 block of Elysian Drive Wednesday after receiving a call concerning a suspicious person, Sheriff Darren Campbell said. He said deputies found two people walking near the 100 block of Zephyr Drive and one matched the description provided by the caller.
Deputies spoke with the two who identified themselves a Daniel Louis Desanti, 23, of Brookwood Drive and Brittany Nicole Morgan, 27, of Zephyr Lane, the release stated.
During the investigation, authorities found 32 Xanax pills on Desanti’s possession, and 25 Adderal pills on Morgan’s person, Campbell said.
Desanti was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance. He received a $5,000 secured bond from a magistrate.
Desanti has a criminal history involving drug possession, possession of paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol under 21 years of age, according to state records.
Morgan was charged with misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and received a $2,500 secured bond.
State records show that she has a criminal history involving drug possession, reckless driving, DWI, violation of court orders and larceny.
