TAYLORSVILLE Mrs. Kindola Fox Dagenhart Ford, 95, of Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Alexander County, the only daughter of the late Jake Fox and Lona Bowman Fox. She grew up alongside her late brother, Clifford Elmore Fox, at Millersville Village. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A devoted and faithful member of Friendship Lutheran Church, she was a past member of the choir and had served on various committees. A prior member of the Builders Sunday School Class, she delivered flowers to the sick members in the local hospitals as part of their Caring Fellowship. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, traveling, and eating out with friends. But, the love of her life was her family, especially her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Rick Dagenhart and wife, Linda, of Mooresville; her grandchildren, Dara Swift and husband, Barry, of Claremont, Curt Dagenhart and Tammy Hoyle, of Hickory, Lisa Pennell Pruitt of Lenoir, Kevin Dagenhart and wife, Blair, of Charlotte, David Dagenhart and wife, Wynne, of Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Lindy and Kimberlyn Swift, Regan and Colby Dagenhart, Jacob and Olivia Dagenhart, Dailey and Lizzie Lane Schenck, Amy Miller and Conner Pruitt; her great-great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaitlin Miller; her nephew, Cheney Fox; her sister-in-law, Joan Fox; her best friend, Shirley Dagenhart; and family friend, Judy Henderson. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at Friendship Lutheran Church. Pastor Craig Sigmon will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Friendship Lutheran Church, 5300 Church Rd., Taylorsville, NC 28681; or to Carolina Caring of Catawba County, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658; or to the charity of your choice.
