STATESVILLE Nancy Pearl Cloer Greene, 72, of Statesville, went into eternal rest Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Born July 3, 1946, in Davie County, she was the daughter of the late John Columbus Cloer and Hallie Mae Hall Cloer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Dickens. Nancy was a very creative person who enjoyed painting. She received an Arts degree from Mitchell Community College and was a member of the Statesville Artist Guild for many years. She worked as an operator for Southern Bell and went on to be the Department Office Manager of Belk in Statesville for 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed taking trips to the beach and mountains with her husband, John Greene. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 35 years, John Wayne Greene; two stepsons; sisters, Shirley Alexander and Judy Childers; and four special nieces, Keta Adams, Nita Roff, Molly Vestal and Anita Chisum. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 7, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home at 1 p.m. A committal service will immediately follow at the Mausoleum of Iredell Memorial Gardens.
