Statesville Mrs. Betty Lou Parker Keller, 77, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at her home. Born Oct. 18, 1942, in Iredell County she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Dollie Benfield Parker. Mrs. Betty was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed helping anyone in need and going to yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Keller Benfield; great-grandson, Lane Keller; and two brothers, Larry and Steven Parker. Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband on 59 years, Melvin Keller; children, Dennis (Maria) Keller, Timmy (Tina) Keller, Lisa McCreary; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ann (Tommy) Stewart; and many other loving family members. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Pharr officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will gather and receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 1 p.m., prior to the service.
