STATESVILLE Our beloved Tyler José Perrusquia, 22, of Statesville, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, after a long battle with mental illness. He was the son of Angela Dishman of Statesville and Marcos Perrusquia of Mexico. He was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. In life, Tyler loved boxing, working out and walking. He loved reading books and he was always cooking. He loved his volunteer work with his grandmother. He loved his dog, Bella. He loved his family very much and loved all of his friends dearly. He was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Robert Russell Sr.; great-grandmother, Bettie Russell; great-grandfather, Spud Dishman; great-grandmother, Madeline Dishman; and two uncles, Jamie and Bryan Dishman. He is survived by a large and loving family, including his brothers, Michael and Brandon Perrusquia; his loving nanny; his grandfather, Gary Dishman; grandmother, Laurie; aunt, Tammy Cottle; uncle, Chris Dishman; cousins, Carlie Abernethy, Zachary Dishman, Hunter and Piper Cottle, Isaias, Alex and Kevin Perrusquia; special great-uncle, Robert Russell Jr.; great-aunt, Kelly Russell; great-cousin, Nicholas Davis; great-uncle, Rick Dishman (Pam); great-cousin, Ritchie Dishman; and great-aunt, Sandy. Tyler will be dearly missed and held tight in all of our hearts. He was a special, wonderful, loving boy to all of us.
