letter to the editor

Being an American isn't hugging the flag or claiming that you are, it's in honoring the premise expounded in the preamble to the Constitution and the claims made in the Declaration of Independence. A true patriot doesn't pick and choose what makes an American. When a newcomer takes the oath of citizenship, he or she becomes an American regardless of skin color, religion or where he or she came from. An American has read those documents and knows where he or she stands in their regard. Where do you stand?

A true American is one who appreciates, loves and respects our country and what it stands for.

At true American will stand and honor the flag when the National Anthem is played and not

Talk down about the greatest country in the world.

A true Patriot will indeed pick and choose what makes an American

Robert Prowler, you are at least right about the skin color, religion, or country of origin.

I stand with America and I stand against any person, red, brown, yellow black or white who does not, even though they

Have the right, respect our Anthem and our Flag..
