South Iredell 3, Maiden 0

TROUTMAN—Taylor Osborne served six aces to complement her 10 kills as South Iredell defeated Maiden in three sets Wednesday.

Malina Harris served three aces and dished out 23 assists for the Vikings, who won 25-17, 25-12, 25-17 to improve to 6-1 on the season.

Ava Tomlin supplied six kills, and Marissa Meyerhoefer and Whitley Weddington chipped in five apiece. Ali Warren led the South Iredell back row defense with nine digs.

Maiden fell to 5-3.

Hickory 3, Statesville 0

Statesville suffered a 25-19, 25-20, 25-19 loss to Hickory in Wednesday’s match.

Destiny McIntosh and Kiley Sharpe each supplied 10 digs and five kills for the Greyhounds (2-6).

Statesville’s Bella Daye posted 13 assists and eight digs.

Hickory improved to 4-1.


Hickory 2, Statesville 0

Kaylee Greer recorded eight digs, three kills and two blocks Wednesday, but Statesville fell 25-16, 26-24 to Hickory.

Ally Slaughter led the Greyhounds offense with five kills. Jordan Carter’s 11 digs were a team best, and Lacie Evans contributed eight digs and six assists.
